ssh-analytics
A private, single-owner reporting tool for the developer's own YouTube channels.
What it does
ssh-analytics is a small set of scripts that runs on the channel owner's own computers. It does two things for the owner's own channels:
- Reports. With read-only access, it reads channel and video statistics through the YouTube Data API and the YouTube Analytics API, and turns them into daily and weekly performance reports (views, watch time, impressions, click-through rate).
- Publishing details. After the owner uploads a video in YouTube Studio, and only when the owner runs the command and confirms it, the tool fills in that video's details: title, description, tags, language, the "altered or synthetic content" and "not made for kids" settings, the scheduled publish time, a subtitle file and a thumbnail. It shows the owner every change before applying it.
Who can use it
The tool is not offered to the public. It is used only by its developer, who is also the owner of every channel it reads or updates. It never uploads videos, never deletes anything, and never touches channels the owner does not own.
